Army Issue Low Standard: Military Olive

$ 88.00

M081SS0NLN

A standard year-round basic, the Army Issue Sneaker features uppers made of water-resistant expedition grade nylon with old nickel eyelets and two sets of laces: one technical nylon lace and one soft lightly waxed cotton lace. Custom contoured perforated footbed is lined in cotton canvas and our ribbed traditional calendar outsole is made of long-wearing genuine gum rubber for maximum comfort and grip.

In August 1961 Camp Irwin, an Armored Combat Training Area located in the Mojave Desert in San Bernardino County, California, is designated a permanent installation and renamed Fort Irwin. During the Vietnam buildup, many artillery and engineer units will train and deploy from Fort Irwin, the Army’s premier training center. The 08/61 Army Issue Sneaker is inspired by the all-purpose sporting footwear worn on base by soldiers in the 1960s.
